Whipped cream is a light, dairy-based cream that is lightly sweet. It requires refrigeration and cannot be used for heavy customization as it is very soft.
Buttercream is a sweet vanilla cream and our most common icing. It is heavier and sweeter than whipped cream, holds color and decorations well, and produces sharper edges. It may have small imperfections like air bubbles or light streaks.
Fondant is a heavy sugar paste rolled into a thin layer and wrapped around the cake, giving smooth, rounded edges. Most of our custom fondant decorations are hand-made from sugar paste and dried before placement.
Most custom cakes in our gallery use a combination of buttercream icing with fondant decorations. We can advise on what works best for your design once we see your quote request.
You're also always welcome to stop by the bakery in person during our open hours!
We only have one person working on emails — thank you for your patience!
If your order is within 7 days, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate changes as production planning and preparation may already be underway.
We recommend sending them photos of what to expect, or having them share photos with you before they leave the store.
Note: we do not recreate AI-generated cake designs, as they often depict elements that are not physically possible using real cake and decorating materials.
To keep your cake safe: transport it on a flat, stable surface, avoid sharp turns and sudden braking, and keep it at or below 72°F until serving.
